I thought the painting Jupiter and Io represented the qualities that please the planet Jupiter. (AN)

It was painted by the Italian Renaissance artist Correggio after finishing Venus and Cupid with a Satyr.

A synchronicity since I’m also working with Jupiter after working with Venus.

Jupiter and Io, was inspired by the Latin narrative poem Metamorphoses by Ovid. Dante Alighieri was also influenced by this poem.

Jupiter was often tempted by other women and took on various disguises in order to cover his various escapades. One time he took the form of a swan, another time of an eagle.

In this painting, he is becoming something else by enveloping himself in a dark cloud, in bright daylight in order to seduce Io and avoid hurting Juno his wife.

Jupiter’s scent smells like:

Mandarin metallic blood, forest green notes, orchid fourreges, green fig leaf jasmine, and violets. Of musk, leather, incense, and patchouli. It smells like the smell of earth right before a thunderstorm, of woodiness, carbon, and charcoal. And like a molecule of nature, found in everything that smells like coriander.

Jupiter . (AY)

Named after the Roman god Jupiter, the god of thunder, lightning, and storms. Appropriately called the god of light and sky. It is the largest planet in the Solar System the fifth from the Sun. With slightly less mass than the sun, but with a mass of more than two and a half times that of all the other planets in the Solar System combined, it is a gas giant.

After the Moon and Venus, Jupiter is the third brightest natural object in the Earth's night sky.

The ongoing contraction of Jupiter's interior generates more heat than it receives from the Sun. The outer atmosphere is divided into a series of latitudinal bands, with turbulence and storms along their interacting boundaries. There have been detected flashes of lightning in the atmosphere of Jupiter that suggest there may be a thin layer of clouds underlying the ammonia clouds. These electrical discharges can be up to a thousand times as powerful as lightning on Earth.

Jupiter has 80 known moons and possibly many more. Galileo Galilei in 1610 discovered the four large moons: Io (AR), Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.

A day in Jupiter is 9h 56 minutes in Earth, and it takes 12 years (4,333) for Jupiter to move around the sun.

If you wish to listen to Jupiter go to the image on the previous page.

These years, 2022 and 2023, Jupiter is in my sun sign Aries, it’s my Emerald year, it is supposed to be a very lucky year that happens every 12 years.

For Jupiter: sound, color, herb, scent, animal.
